Botanica (Kaiser Craft)

I have a layout to share today using the Kaisercraft 'Botanica' Collection. This set is full of floral and nature elements and patterns. For this layout I wanted to use the 'leaf' paper as the focus. I backed this on white cardstock and added a punched edge to the top and bottom.

I added some lilac texture paste over a script stencil to give a subtle texture and then placed my chipboard page dangle over the top. I coloured my chipboard with white paint and stamped a script stamp over the top in black ink. The two butterflies on my layout were stamped with black archival ink onto the 'Air' paper and cut out.

All of the elements around my picture are die-cut shapes from the 'collectables' pack which co-ordinates with this set.

A Touch of Gold (Kaiser Craft)

I have a couple of layouts today using the A Touch of Gold collection from Kaiser Craft. There are so many gold papers and embellishments around at the moment and I find that by keeping them simple you can achieve really smart layouts.

I wanted to use the gold foil doilies die-cut paper as my focal point so decided that black cardstock would be best to make this stand out. I kept the layouts simple by just adding some die-cut words and shapes from the pack of collectables which co-ordinate with this collection.

Pumpkin Spice (Simple Stories)

As Autumn has arrived I decided to grab out some of the new Simple Stories 'Pumpkin Spice' collection and create a couple of layouts. Simple Stories is one of my favourite brands as they bring out a great selection of papers (with lots of cup-apart elements on so you are never in need of that extra something!) as well as a big selection of different embellishments.

For the first layout I wanted to use one of the new Prima Marketing Doily Stencils and knew that we had the perfect colour sparkle paste to match this set! I placed the doily in the corners of a sheet of white cardstock (white to make sure the sparkle paste didn't get overshadowed!) and placed all my other elements diagonally across the doily shapes.

For he second layout I made the white cardstock the same size as the first layout as a base so that they would match well side by side in my album. I layered papers from the 6" x 6" pad on this page as - I find that the pads are a great way to get dimension and the smaller prints work really well. I then added a quote cut from a 12"x12" sheet of paper and some chipboard stickers and enamel dots.

Lost and Found (7 Dots Studio)

As soon as we received the brand new collection 'Lost and Found' by 7 Dots Studio I grabbed some of the papers and embellishements and got straight to work on a layout! I love the colours and vintage style and the papers are really thick so great when you want to add paints, inks or mists.

I started by misting the background with 2 colours of Shimmerz Spritz - Tuscan Sun and Bamboo Leaf. I then took the lids off of these spray bottles and using a paintbrush added some paint around the edge of my background paper ('213' Paper) and behind where I was going to add my texture paste. Once dry, I added some script texture paste and stamped some script and brick wall stamps in random areas.

For the chipboard pieces, I coated these with some gesso to prime them and then painted them with a paintbrush from the Shimmerz Spritz bottles. Once dry I went over the yellow flowers with some distress ink and a blending tool.

The flowers from Hobby House were the perfect colour match and vintage style for the papers! The words sticker sheet which co-ordinates with this set is really good as it is packed with sayings and words.

My butterfly embellishments were stamped (archival ink pad in black) onto one of the tags from the die-cut sheet and cut out.

Rover (Bella Blvd)

I have a pet themed layout to share today using a new collection we have recently received by Bella Blvd - 'Rover'. I loved the bright colours and funky designs in this collection and really enjoyed making this one.

I started with a piece of Bazzill Basics kraft cardstock as the base. I cut all of the borders from the 'borders' paper so that I could rearrange these to how I wanted them to look and then stuck them down on a piece of scrap cardstock, before machine-stitching between each one. I finished the layout off with some stickers and enamel dots.

You can find the products used below and the rest of the 'Rover' collection here

These are some other layouts created by the Bella Blvd design team using their Rover collection...
