September 2012 Kit Sneak Peeks...

I wanted to share today a sneak peek of our September Monthly Kits. This month the main kit features the brand new Echo Park For the Record 2 'Documented' Collection. The papers feature bright yellows, greens and blues but if you flip the papers over there are some lovely vintage designs too.

I created 2 layouts using the main kit which you can see below :)

We also have a very limited mini kit this month using the Country Boutique collection by Fancy Pants. For those who might miss out on this one due to the low number we will be having a second mini kit for September.

For this layout I wanted to try doing something different with my photos so I created a washing line effect and then used the file cards as the photo mat. Whilst this collection by Fancy Pants was only released this Summer many of the items are now discontinued so if you like this set grab it whilst you can :)

Brand New Products due to arrive next week....

We have so many lovely brand new products on order - and these begin to arrive next week. We will let you know which sets we have on order over the coming weeks and hopefully their expected dates.

July Monthly Mini Kit Layouts

A little later than planned ... but here are the two layouts I created using this months mini kit!

Both layouts were created using the mini kit and I still had leftovers to use!

The papers in this mini kit have so many elements you can cut out and use that the results for different styled layouts are endless.

For our kits I normally create a layout then create the kit using the layout as a guide - this time round I selected products for the kit and then tried to challenge myself to sit and create only using the products in front of me. I hope you like the results!

A couple of my recent projects....

As well as putting the final touches to the April Kits I managed to create the following two layouts using new products to our store. The first layout features the new Glitz Collection 'Pretty in Pink'. This project will be in our 'Shop by Project' section soon so you can see what I used to create the layout :)

The other layout I created used the new Echo Park 'Woof' Collection (mixed with some Best Creations 'Puppy Love') - perfect for my bouncing puppy!

I found this layout harder to create as I usually love detailing layouts with lots of flowers, bling and generally making them dimensional but it is good to try different ways of scrapping than your usual style - the layout ended up fun and funky which seems to work for the photo :)

Lastly, I created this layout below a while ago using the My Minds Eye 'Follow Your Heart "Be Happy"' Collection:

All of the papers and embellishments used were from the same set by My Minds Eye and the flowers were stamped and cut out using the Heartfelt Creations 'Innocents Flowers 2' cling rubber stamps.

April Mini Kit.... Sneak Peek

I thought I would share our April Mini Kit with you today as a sneak peek before it goes online next month :)

I created both of the layouts and the card from this kit so whilst its a 'mini kit' enough is included to create two layouts with left overs!

A Couple of Recent Projects...

I have been working on a few projects which I thought I would share today. The first is a layout using the brand new Prima Marketing collection 'Nature Garden'. Unlike my usual layouts not many different papers were used to create this layout. The flowers used were also Prima Marketing as well as the Roman Column, alphabet and the black lace border. A Daisy D's Rub on was used, a Bo Bunny clear stamp on the top right hand corner and the new Tim Holtz Sizzix Alterations Die - Bird Branch.

If not then we will be adding new projects to this section and all of the products used to create the project will all be together to make shopping a little easier :) Just click on the layout/card in the above section to see the products used.

 Sometimes it is difficult to choose flowers/cardstock etc online which match so seeing it used on a project might give a little inspiration. It is also very frustrating seeing a product which has been used on a product and not being able to find out what it is!
