Christmas Mini Album - Under the Tree (October Afternoon)

I have a Christmas Mini Album to share today which I have been working on recently. When the fun new 'Under the Tree' collection by October Afternoon arrived I thought it was the perfect set to use on  mini album which I have had sat on my desk. The mini chipboard album I used is by Echo Park - it is available in either a rectangular design which I have used for this project or a circular design. It is different from a lot of mini albums as it features hidden interactive pull-out tabs - perfect for adding hidden journaling, extra photos or quotes.

I started off by painting the edges of each chipboard piece with some Fresco Finish paint in London Bus Red. The sheet of word stickers which co-ordinate with this October Afternoon paper collection have some tab stickers which are perfect for finishing off the tabs of the chipboard pages with.

For the first pull out tab I embellished it with a quote from one of the sheets of paper in the collection and some stickers.

To start, I chose my background papers for each page (so that opposite pages match) and cut these down to size. From there I layered each page up with embellishments, pictures and pockets.
There are lots of fun shapes in the Ephemera pack and on the Shape Sticker Sheet which help finish each page.

I created a few extra pages for the album with some Bazzill cardstock as the base. The rings included with the album are quite big so you can add as many extra pages as you need like this to make sure you fit all of your Christmas photos in.

I created a pocket on the first page to slip in any photos, journal cards etc...

I hope you enjoyed looking at my album. You can find links to all of the products used in this project below :)
