Blue Bay (Kaiser Craft)

I have two layouts to share today using the beautiful Blue Bay Collection by Kaiser Craft. For my first layout I wanted to try something a little different so I made my photograph a diamond shape and added patterned papers following the shape on each side. I then added some floral clusters including mini lily's and a new crystal sprig by Scrapberrys. I added a resin floral heart embellishment to the top right hand corner. The berry sprays were die-cut from cardstock with pearl pen dots added as berries.

My second layout used up scraps of papers from the first layout. I added another floral cluster to the photo on top of a large flourish cut from cardstock.

Furry Friends (Kaiser Craft)

Today's layout is one for the dogs! We recently received a set into store by Kaiser Craft called Furry Friends. The collection has papers for both cats and dogs but as we have 2 golden labradors I grabbed out some of the dog themed papers for this layout.

This layout used just a few papers, some cardstock and a sticker sheet by Kaiser Craft. I layered up a variety of the papers and used a paw print edger punch to create some cardstock borders. I added a few crystal jewels to the centres of the lattice patterned paper.

All the products used on this layout are listed below :)

Flora Delight (Kaiser Craft)

I have a quick layout to share using the Flora Delight Collection by Kaiser Craft. This collection is full of pinks, purples, greens and oranges but for this layout I picked out some magenta pink, and yellow papers.  I did a basic matted background with some papers and cardstock as well as a stitched edge. I then layered up some stickers and die-cut shapes from the collectables pack which co-ordinated with this collection.

Vintage Time (Craft & You)

Today I wanted to share a layout using a couple of papers by Craft and You. Their papers have beautiful vintage floral prints in delicate colours. For this layout I started by cutting a diagonal line across the cream paper and then used an edger punch to give this some shape. I folded down one corner and then stitched all the way around the edge.

I used a stencil to add some pink hearts to the paper using Distress Ink Pad 'Milled Lavender' and an ink blending tool.

The shape to the left of the photo was cut from glimmer cardstock using a new Sue Wilson die, I then added some pink rhinestones to the lattice area.

I added some pearl sprays behind my floral cluster in the bottom corner of the layout.

The gold text is from a pack of Bo Bunny Rub ons. The packs contain lots of different shapes and are available in silver and gold.

Paper Flowers (First Edition)

I have two layouts to share today using mainly papers from a 6x6 pad. I used a new 6x6 pad by First Edition called 'Paper Flowers' on these two layouts - their pads have some designs with pearlescent finishes, some with fabric texture and some with spot uv finishes.

For the first layout I layered 3 sheets of cardstock with rounded corners and then added some 6x6 sheets straight from the pad - I edged the 6x6 papers with some Distress Ink in Weathered Wood. I added a berry vine shape cut from cardstock which I added some pearl dots too. The chipboard was painted with Inklingz watercolour paint which has a pearly finish. I added a couple of butterflies and birds which were cut from papers within the paper pad.

For the second layout I cut a doily from a sheet of lilac cardstock and some more berry vines the same as on the first layout. I added more birds and butterflies around the edges.

Seaside Layouts (Authentique)

I have 3 layouts to share today using the new 'Seaside' Collection by Authentique Paper. After creating the album in my previous post I loved working with it so much I planned on making a single page layout but 3 layouts later I am on the blog and sharing....!

For the first layout I used a new texture paste by Cosmic Shimmer called Decadent Denim. This paste is not a glitter paste but it has a beautiful pearly sheen (be aware that this paste drys very quickly! Good for when you want to get on with your layout but it was drying on the stencil by the time I took it to the kitchen!) I added some glitter glue dots in areas once dry.

The Seahorse is a glitter die-cut sticker which comes in a pack by Paperhouse Productions with all seaside themed shapes. I have written more about these in my previous Seaside album post.

For the second layout I added a new chipboard shape by Blue Fern Studios which I painted with some matt chalk paint in Slate Grey - I then added some clear glitter glue over the top of this once dry. The shells and Lighthouse are from the die-cut sticker pack too by Paperhouse Productions.

For the third layout I focused on some of the coral and light blue colours in this collection.

Prima Resist Album and Authentique Seaside

I have an altered album to share with you today which I have been working on recently. We have some Prima Marketing Resist Canvas Album covers in store which you can mist to match your project. When the Authentique Seaside release came in I thought it would be good to create a summer themed album ready for upcoming holidays :)

I started off by spraying my album cover with Prima Marketing Color Bloom Sprays - Summer Sky for the front and Ginger Coral on the inside cover. The front cover has a pattern on which starts to appear once you begin spraying.

In the bottom left hand corner I adhered some Fishing Net with a hot melt glue gun and then began to add lots of different embellishments - flowers, sea themed resin shapes, prima marketing say it in crystal dots and a beautiful rhinestone medallion. I then cut a compass out using a new Kaiser Craft die from some metallic cardstock. All of the embellishments were adhered using a hot glue gun to ensure these stay in place.

Inside the album I cut some Authentique papers to size and began to decorate. I stuck some of the left-over fishing net from the front cover on the first page and added a beautiful large starfish charm by Fabscraps.

The seahorse, anchor and coral pieces are die-cut stickers (these designs are glittered) by PaperHouse Productions. I have used a pack which contains a large selection of different die-cuts (all summer themed) called Fun in the Sun - these are the perfect accent to any page. I have photographed a selection of the other die-cuts which came in this pack which you can see at the bottom of this post - the pack contains 36 die-cuts (2 of each shape).

The next spread I wanted to focus on some of the coral colours in the Seaside collection - these papers match the colour bloom spray I used on the inside cover of the album perfectly.

The Ships Wheel is another large metal charm by Fabscraps :)
I added a pocket to this page to allow for photos and journaling spots to be added. I also added a journaling sticker to the pocket.

I added in a pocket style refill which Prima Marketing do to match this album. I used this to create some embellished cards as well as spots for photos and journaling.

I added in one more Fabscraps charm in the bottom right hand pocket :)

The pack of sticker die-cuts which I used on this project by Paperhouse Productions also had these shapes as well - you get 18 different shapes and 2 of each per pack. This is just a quick snap of some of the others: (Some of these are coated in glitter too :) )

I hope you enjoyed looking at this project, you can find a link to all the items used below :)

Elegy (Scrapberry's)

For the layout I am sharing today I used some papers by a relatively new company to us - Scrapberry's. They have a brilliant range of papers and embellishments (from resin and jewel embellishments to charms and flowers) - very good quality and very reasonable prices!

For the chipboard piece I painted this with Warm White Matt Chalk Paint and then using a script stamp and an archival ink pad in black I stamped over the chipboard. I added a butterfly which I cut from one of the papers and adhered this in the middle of the butterfly on the chipboard piece. I added glossy accents to make it shine.

Beauty (Authentique)

Todays layout uses a collection by Authentique called 'Beauty'. I love the mix of yellow, grey and black in this collection. I had the pack of Prima Marketing Saffron Wild Flowers on my desk which I wanted to use and knew these papers would be the perfect match!

I kept the layout quite simple with some strips of paper on the left hand side and made use of the quote on the die-cut cardstock sheet which matches this set.

I have used a new Martha Stewart punch which arrived in store called 'Double Link Trim' - this is a great punch for making border strips:

Wedding Invitations

I have something a bit different to share today - not scrapbook related but still crafty and I know that we have a lot of customers who create their own wedding stationery so I thought I would share my recent samples in the hope it might inspire anyone with an invitation task ahead! I was recently asked to create some wedding invitations for a friend...the bride-to-be wanted 'Navy, Ivory, Gold as the colour scheme and Indian/Moroccan but unique/different to any she has seen online' .....! Where to begin!! I set about creating a range of different samples so that she could narrow it down as she really did have no idea what she wanted.

The first sample was a pocket-fold invitation held together with ribbon and a die-cut label. The pattern on the outside was stamped using a JustRite background stamp and white embossing powder. Patterned paper is definitely an easier option but I wanted to try this as something a little bit different.

Inside, the details were printed on pearlescent card and 3 cards of varying heights were tucked into the pocket.

The second sample was similar to the first yet focussing on the gold. For this one I used a patterned paper with gold foil accents and added a tag with the wedding date on. This could also have 'Wedding Invitation' on instead of the date.

My third sample was another pocket-fold yet this time a pearlescent navy pocket fold in a rectangular shape. Again, the RSVP, Honeymoon Wish and Information cards were tucked in the bottom pocket.

My fourth sample was to create a book style invitation - something which the bride had not seen before so it did fit the bill of being unique! I showed her a pearlescent paper (with a gold shimmer which doesn't show up online!) and a navy Indian style pattern on which she instantly wanted to incorporate into the stationary. I decided to use the paper for her Save the Date Cards which I also made into a mini style book which would match the main invitation.

The book invitation was made up of 5 pages - all slightly longer than the last allowing a tab for each piece of information. I printed all of the sheets on Payper Box A4 White Pearlescent card which we stock - this card is an excellent heavyweight quality card with a lovely gold shimmer finish and I highly recommend it for anyone making their wedding stationary.

To get an RSVP card into the book I decided to hold the return envelope and card in place on the back page with a ribbon bow matching the ribbon on the front. I set 4 eyelets onto the back page and then used a piece of Navy card to bind the book and hide the eyelets.

As I knew the bride loved the paper which I used on the Save The Date cards I wanted to get this into the main invite too. I created the envelopes for the RSVP card using the We R Memory Keepers Envelope maker tool and some pearlescent navy paper. I then made envelope inserts using the patterned paper.

For the evening invitations it was decided that a simple card would be made so I added an embossed design down one side using a Spellbinders Embossing Folder and used a pearl pen to add in some dots.

I hope this inspires anyone creating their own invites / wedding stationary!
